Ackorn House offers a sanctuary for those learning to live without the use of drugs and alcohol. Our homes equip men and women to live independently and in community, free from chemical dependencies and relapses.
Ackorn House welcomes individuals into a comfortable, homelike environment on a quiet residential street in vibrant Long Beach, California. The homes are within walking distance of the ocean, a variety of restaurants, parks, churches, shopping centers, theaters, public transit and meetings.
With the encouragement of an on-site house manager and peer group, all who reside at Ackorn House have the opportunity to achieve permanent sobriety, become responsible citizens, regain their self-respect and enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Ackorn Houses are among the most affordable certified sober living homes in Southern California. Stays include full access to the home’s kitchen, dining and laundry facilities and cable TV.
A Safe Environment for Growth
For men seeking a stable sober-living environment, we provide a dedicated five bedroom house shared with male peers, with two person per room. Women, and women with children, share a seven-bedroom home. Accommodations are for two women per room, or one family per room. At each residence, the on-site house manager cultivates harmony and ensures clean and safe living conditions throughout the recovering client’s extended stay.
